What are Executive Function Skills?

In short, Executive Function and self-regulation Skills are the mental processes that enable us to plan, focus attention, remember instructions, and juggle multiple tasks successfully. They are exhibited differently for each age range. Read more here.

Why does KBS focus on (young) children with these needs?

This is the most crucial time in formative development for a young brain. The sooner you can make supportive habit changes, the less frustrated you and your child will be later.

What happens after I give you my email address?

You’ll receive an email from Kids Building Selves thanking you for your interest and much more information about who KBS is and the services offered.  You’ll have the opportunity to engage in one on one, focused, problem solving strategies for your child. KBS will not provide your email to anyone else. 

What if I’m not available for the live webinars?

Being able to take part in the live webinars is definitely an opportunity that’s beneficial but you can also listen to a recorded version.

What if I have questions after the webinar?

You can absolutely send an email to me with your questions and perhaps a time you’re available to have a conversation.  This possibility Is available even if you listen live and think of questions after.

Are there any materials I have to buy?

There are no materials you have to buy.  If you decide to utilize my services we will discuss if there are any items that may assist your child but nothing that is required.

What if I have a question between sessions?

If you decide to sign up for KBS’ services you’re entitled to send 2 emails a week or if really feel a conversation is needed than you can call, for an up to 15 minutes consultation call.

How do I pay KBS?

The preferred method is via credit/debit card through PayPal.  If need be, KBS will accept a check however services will not start until the check clears.
